That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work Of this, there are 29 million employed by the government. This leaves 19 million to do the work. Four million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 15 million to do the work.Take from that total the 14,800,000 people who work for The FA, State and Government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work. There are 188,000 sick people in hospitals, so that leaves 12,000 to do the work. Now, there are 11,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work You and Me, and you're sitting there reading this.

ARSENAL LADIES NAME NEW MANAGER Tony Gervaise will succeed Vic Akers as Arsenal Ladies First Team Manager. The Scot joined the Gunners last summer as Academy Director and doubled up as Akers' number two last term following the departure of Emma Hayes to the United States. Gervaise previously held the positions with the Scottish FA as Head of Youth Development in women's football and was also Head Coach for Scotland at a variety of youth levels. Now the 54-year-old Scot will take on the top job in British Women's Football at Arsenal Ladies, after Akers 22 year stint as Manager ended in May. "Tony Gervaise is coming in and will take the job on," Akers told Arsenal.com. ",I am sure he will do an excellent job. He has been with me a year so far, which we had planned when he came in order to be Academy Director. We planned on him being around me as an assistant and as a coach. He moves on now to be first-team coach. Sadly, it looks like we are going to lose [Assistant First-Team Coaches] Marcus Bignot and Laura Harvey, so we will be looking for an assistant to Tony. By the start of the season, we'll have everything in place." added Akers. Gervaise admits he has some big act to follow after succeeding Akers, but he is convinced that Arsenal Ladies can affirm their stance at the top of the women's game. "Vic has had a unique time, and he has worked tremendously hard at that," said Gervaise. "To start from where he came from and deliver what he has matches the very best. To win 32 trophies in his time as Manager is just amazing. What the Club has achieved is fantastic, and we’re now moving forward into a new, exciting time. We lost a lot of senior players last season but the squad maintained their standards and took it one better by winning the 'treble'. It was an immense achievement, and we will take that forward and use that enthusiasm, hunger and drive. The mentality at Arsenal is first class, and it’s onwards and upwards as far as I’m concerned. I look forward to it immensely."
COUNTY LEAGUES SUBS RULE CHANGES At a recent conference of The FA Council, two rule changes were approved that explicitly affect girls’ and women's football, starting from the 2009-10 season. The two amendments are as follows: Repeated substitutions for any League or Competition playing at Step 6 or below of the Girls' and Women's Pyramid, i.e. County-based leagues. Those Leagues/Competitions affected will need to include an amendment in their individual League Rules ahead of their AGM and the sanctioning process. Any NEW girls’ team must enter a League that is sanctioned by its parent County FA. There are certain exceptions to this, which are detailed in the Girls’ and Women’s League Rules document. Repeated substitutions - rationale: For over ten seasons repeat substitutions have operated very successfully in Mini Soccer. In 2003 this rule was included in the Standard Code of Rules for Youth Leagues. Numerous of Women’s Leagues asked The FA to consider allowing the repeat substitutions rule to be extended into Women’s Football As Women’s Football is one of the categories where national Associations can make changes to the Laws of the Game, this proposal was discussed by The FA Women’s Committee, and it was agreed that Women’s Football (Step 6 Level and below) would be allowed the option of introducing a repeat substitution rule from season 2009-10. If a League/competition (Step 6 or below) agrees to include a repeat substitution rule it should use the following wording, which has been proven to work in Mini Soccer and Youth Football: The Club will have a match day playing squad of 14,15,16,17,18 to be decided by the competition] Any number of substitutions may be used at any time with the permission of the Referee. Entry onto the field of play will only be allowed during a stoppage in play. A player who has been replaced may return to the field of play as a substitute for another player. Any Leagues which do not wish to introduce a repeat substitution rules, will continue with the existing rule as found in the Standard Code of Rules.

DURRANDS BACK IN ROTHER'S HOT-SEAT After a two-year absence, Manager Paul Durrands has returned to again take up the managerial hot-seat with relegated FA Northern league side Rotherham United Ladies Football Club. The Clubs' search has now begun to install a new coach, with a minimum level one badge, who will look after the training sessions and assist team-chief Durrands on match days. Pre-season Training will take place at Valley School in Worksop on Wednesday evenings (7.30-9pm) and Sundays (time's to be confirmed). Paul said; "I intend putting RULFC back on the map, as I was the manager who three years ago got them promoted from the Midland Combination up to the Premier League Northern Division, but I had to leave at the end of that season for personal reasons. I have now returned with unfinished business. I insist that the training sessions are presented professionally, and I also want the sessions to be fun. Too many coaching sessions are technical and so there must always be a fun outlet for the girls. A happy player trains better. Match days are Sundays, with home games at Roundwood Sports. It’s an exceptionally good, floodlit pitch with facilities to match." To discuss the coaching position further, or if you feel you have the ability and determination to play Ladies Football at a Combination and higher level, call Paul Durrands on 077 0666 1906, or email paul.durrands@rulfc.co.uk

Football Mad Claire who attends Moulton Sports College in Northampton is a member of the GB Deaf Womens Football Squad and last season arrange two training camps for her team mates in the GB Deaf Squad which is made up of Girls, who have refused to let their disabilities stop them enjoying and participating in the beautiful game sadly for perspective budding disabled female players they need to raise substantial cash to fund their playing activities, Claire need's to raise in the regional of £3500 by next September to play for Great Britain. If she gets picked for the Deaf Olympics £3500 will pay for her flights, accommodation, playing kit etc as it's all self funded! Claire is also searching for player sponsorship deal for the forthcoming season with Wellingborough Diamonds! Claire will be undertaking a stint with Diamonds probably at a Reserve level as she battles to regain full fitness following Serious Injury Club sponsorship is in the region of about £300!
Claire from Wellingborough, is currently completing her National Diploma in Sports Development and Fitness, and suffers from a profound hearing loss in the speech frequency range and relies on lip reading. However, this handicap has not prevented her from achieving great success both in the classroom and on the football pitch. Claire accomplished her National Award in Sports Development and Fitness last year with an overall Merit grade, and she is making impressive progress on the National Diploma stage of the qualification. Claire's sporting prowess lies within the realm of football. Her recent performances within the womens game at club levels for the Vicarage Farm Ladies and Whitworths have resulted in a call up for the England Women's Deaf Football Squad. Claire has her sights and hopes set on being selected for the Great Britain Deaf Ladies Football team who are going to be participating in the Deaf Olympics in 2009; however, the financial implications of Claire's dream mean she along with the rest of the Deaf Squad now needs to raise allot of cash just to ascertain her number one goal of making it into the Olympic Team.
Claire told us "I was selected for England Deaf Women's World Cup Squad in May 2008, and couldn't believe it, but was very happy that I had made my dream come true. We flew out to Greece on 30th June and arrived late evening. This gave us a few days to acclimatise with our first match being on the 2nd July. Strict rules meant we weren't allowed out in the sun except for matches. The squad to play the first game was announced on 1st July. I was named in the starting line-up to play left midfield and was very happy but extremely nervous. After tactical sessions throughout the day, I felt prepared and raring to go. The following day we faced a short journey to Thiella Stadium, Patras.
The game kicked off and within 4 minutes I had scored the first goal from outside the box. I was gob-smacked when I scored, and all of a sudden the whole team were congratulating me. It was a fantastic feeling knowing I had scored the 1st goal for England's Deaf Women's 11-a-side team, but this wasn't the end. I completed my hat-trick in the first half and went on to score my 4th goal in the second half. The final score was 10-1. Unfortunately, due to an ankle injury received Three weeks before I flew out to Greece, I had to have my ankle strapped before every match and physio everyday”
If you or your Business or Company would like to offer Claire Sponsorship, please contact diamondsr4ever_10@hotmail.com

WEBB INSPIRES GRASSROOTS REFEREES .jpg) Birmingham County League Side Tipton Town Ladies formed just over eighteen months ago found it so hard to get Referees that one of their co-founders Susan Albrighton decided to take up the Whistle, Now just over half-way through her first season as a qualified referee thing's are going really well for Susan who explained. My highlight so far has been attending a fantastic meeting hosted by the Solihull Referees Association, where one of its guest speakers was the brilliant Premier League Referee, Howard Webb. "Howard spoke to us for nearly two hours about what it's really like to be in his shoes, said Susan who admitted I've always admired Howard, and he is my favorite top flight referee. He stood out for me when I saw him intervene between some burly Arsenal players who squared up to each other and pushed Adebayor away to prevent any further incident, which you may argue is not what you should do, but I was somewhat proud he did" said Susan He showed footage of recent Premiership League matches, decisions he had made and explained why he made them. He also admitted openly to maybe missing a trick, when he didn't book Christiano Ronaldo for dissent. Christiano applauded Howard for giving him his first yellow card for a reckless challenge, but later he jumped for the ball with two arms raised and handled the ball in the penalty area, which gave Howard no excuse but to yellow him again and send him off. Howard also gave the audience insight into one of his own valuable lessons to always do the basics. After giving Vidic his second yellow card in the recent Manchester derby, he nearly forgot to show him the red, but thankfully a good team around him, stopped him from making that career ending mistake. If Howard had followed his normal routine of writing on his cards, he wouldn't have missed it and urged all Referees to do the same. Howard fully supports the Respect The Ref campaign and even appeared in the advert to promote the importance of Referees. The floor was opened up for questions. One was about the influence of Premiership footballers on our youngsters and the fact they are not penalized for obvious acts of dissent, he took this on board and said he will try and be more aware of what is being said. What impressed me the most about Howard said up and coming Referee Susan, is that he isn't afraid to admit when he has made mistakes, and he genuinely tries's really hard to do a good job, I hope I can follow his big footsteps and be as good as him in the future added Susan. BRETT'S MY BOY FOR LOCAL LADIES SOCCER TEAM .jpg) Copsewood Ladies first season in the Midlands Combination Women's League finished on a disappointing note having gone down in the League Cup Final to Derby County Ladies, Indeed some might say their form since Xmas had literally gone to the dogs, well so it appears with the clubs latest new signing Greyhound Holywell Brett for owners and coaches Ryan and Joe Coneely along with star striker and stadium Chef Nicola Foskett who's a dab hand at knowing her hot dogs! On a warm Saturday night at Brandon Stadium the going provide to be a hot both on and off the track for Holywell Brett trained by David Beech, who could not muster a top three finish from trap six despite having been in some good form over the past five weeks, which has seen the rising star finish in the top three in four out of his last six outings. On a sun-kissed Saturday Evening Coventry Stadium provided some first class family entertainment for a packed crowd overseen by recently newly installed directors Mick Conneely and John Flounders, who since taking charge in November 2008 have made some significant changes including a reduced on the tote which was introduced on Saturday night. Many outside of Greyhound Racing will not know that Director Mick Conneely has been instrumental in not only raising the profile of Women's Football but for putting Coventry Copsewood and their Ladies Football Team on the map over the past decade since the Club originally started out as works outfit Marconi back at the turn of the century including back to back promotions from the West Midlands Women's League. The Football mad trio are of course no strangers to many regular race-goers at Coventry Stadium as they combined two of the favourite past-times, On a fun filled action packed night, which hosted a number of Sponsored Football Club races through Sporting Leagues.com for six locally based soccer teams and a few folks out celebrating Birthdays the PA announcers' rendition of Happy Birthday won't be a contender of the next serious of Brittan's Got Talent but did evidently give many within the large crowd a Chuckle as Coventry Stadium builds on its reputation for Great Entertainment, Value for Money and Friendly Staff. Recession, Credit crunches, Doom and Gloom are all words being too freely branded about but Coventry Stadium aims the buck the trend by giving families a great night out on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. With the Summer nights getting longer and hopefully the days getting warmer Sporting Leagues.com combine a great night out at the dogs and raising Money for Local Football Teams, Stoke Heath Rangers, AC Whitley FC, St Nicholas Colts and Pro Santos Youth, Coventry Jaguar Youth, AEI Rugby and Coventry Rangers were the six teams taking part in the action packed racing night which brings Greyhound Racing and Football together. The dream of owning a racing Greyhound for many remains just a dream but has now become a reality for the Soccer Mad Trio who now take a break from the Women's Football Scene, they may just be putting their Shirt on their latest new signing.
